Saving our home and brother’s life

Hi, I am Erich, this is a hard fundraiser for me to do as it is for my brothers and myself. Three years ago, my family started down a road filled with nothing but bad luck and sorrow filled days.

My twin Peter would get an infection on his left for it ended up being the flesh eating virus. This infection lead him to land in the hospital and led him to loosing his left foot and ankle, plus a lot of skin and muscle on his left leg. As my brother is fighting for his life, his then wife drops divorce papers in his lap. I was by my twin brother’s side no matter where he went. He would spend the next two years in and out of the hospitals dealing with infections from having so much skin and muscle removed, his infections, would last for a long time. Every time he got out of the hospital his soon to be ex wife would do nothing to help him at the house they shared. As time went on my brother would find himself in hospital after hospital. During his first year of this horrific journey, our mother passed away. Peter was still in the hospital and didn’t get to see her.

when mom passed away she had a reverse mortgage on the house we were living in. Like all types of mortgages, the necessary payment came through, and the company wanted their money in full. I would spend the next two years trying to get a mortgage for the house I am living in. After mom passed Peter was still in the hospital, he ended up having his right leg amputated above the knee, the doctor also took the rest of his left leg.

this saga would continue on, Peter was transferred to a rehab facility, in the facility, he caught covid, I went and visited him, only to see his complete mental shape take a downward spiral. I fought to get him transferred to the near by hospital, where I received a call from the nurse telling me to come down and say my good byes. After this he would not be the same, his memory is not what it use to be.

With a reverse mortgage, and the payment needing to be paid in full upfront. I managed to put it off for a while as we were trying to get. Peter help.

The house payment would not come due but as I stated, we needed to come up with the necessary funds to keep the house. I finalized my brother’s divorce, got his ex wife out as they were living in my brother’s house. After 8 months of fighting with my brother’s ex wife, I managed to get his house sold,his ex was fighting me the whole way. With his house sold he moved in with us, at this point I had been trying to fix my credit and qualify for a mortgage. After about two years of the allowed postponement, I managed to get the mortgage but needed five more days to get the mortgage finalized. However the company that held the reverse mortgage, decided not to give us the extra five days. Our house would be auctioned off, i a now trying to keep my house but need some help so I can keep a roof over our heads, Peter has been improving by leaps and bounds living with us. I need these funds so I can continue living in my house as well as to keep my twin brother. And older brother safe in our home. I lost my house in a state auction, the guy who bought the house wants more money than I was awarded, this would let us stay in the house, as well as to keep my brother healthy and alive with us. Please I am desperate in solving this issue.
