Faith (daughter of our friend Todd Rowell) is not quite five years old. She was run over by a lawnmower on May 12, 2015 that caused her to have her lower leg/foot amputated. She also sustained a significant but repairable injury to her wrist and hand. http://www.connectmidmissouri.com/news/story.aspx?id=1203645#.VVPZKflVhBc
Faith's first words to her Dad after the accident were, "I want to water my tomatoes," referring to the garden Dad and she planted from seeds. The morning after her amputation, she asked her Dad why she didn't die. Well, sweetie, many reasons, but one is you have tomatoes to water!
Although she is covered under insurance, the immediate bills (deductible, % of bills, up to the maximum out-of-pocket) are a blow to this single dad.
In addition to prayer for total physical healing, emotional well-being, and future physical and occupational therapy sessions, please consider helping financially to ease the burden in a way we *can* help. We can't fix the leg, but we can help pay the bills for the health care professionals who can help her heal and learn a new mobility.
Your generosity, at whatever level it is, is deeply and humbly appreciated.
