Update July 22/2025
Since we began this campaign, the borders have remained closed to anyone trying to leave Gaza. For over a year now, my family has been forced to move from one tent to another.
My dream of reuniting with them — of helping them evacuate Gaza — feels more distant than ever. The funds we’ve raised so far have gone directly to them, helping to purchase food and tents. But even that is no longer enough.
Today, they can’t access even the most basic necessities. My baby nephews don’t have diapers or milk. Food is extremely scarce, and what little is available in the markets is far too expensive — they simply can’t afford it.
Everything I’ve been able to collect, I’ve sent to them. Still, it’s not enough.
I continue to pray: for the borders to open, for food to be allowed in, and for my parents to receive the urgent medical care they need.
I’m asking once again for your support — not for anything extra, just for the chance to help my family survive, and to one day see them again.
My name is Walaa, and I’m from Gaza.
A few months ago, my life changed forever when my beautiful son, Naji, was martyred. My three-year-old daughter and I survived a bombing that destroyed our home and took everything we had. We were evacuated, but my family remains in Gaza, where they continue to face unimaginable hardship due to ongoing bombardments, repeated displacements, and a severe lack of food and clean water.
Both of my parents urgently need medical care — my father suffers from a heart condition, and my mother has diabetes. My sister has been unable to receive treatment for her thyroid cancer, and her children, like so many others, are suffering from hunger and constant exposure to disease.
The cost to evacuate is $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child. I am doing everything I can to help my parents, my six sisters, and their children — but I cannot do it alone. The border is currently closed, but I want to be ready to bring them to safety as soon as it reopens.
Please help me give them a chance to survive. Your support means the world.
