Hi, I'm Parker's mom and I created this GoFundMe to help him out during this difficult time for him.

Parker was the shooting victim in an attempted robbery in Chicago on August 2nd. Praise be to God his life was spared, but he did sustain a serious injury to his elbow which required an extensive and complicated surgery. His elbow has been replaced with plates, rods, pins, and screws. He is dealing with a lot of pain and the psychological impact of the horrific incident.

Parker's roommate and friend has been by his side caring for him since this happened. But because bills need to be paid, Parker has already tried resuming work. Unfortunately, he has found this to be harder than expected. His roommate has been working extra hours to help but is burning the candle at both ends, barely getting rest. I, myself, try to be there as much as I can but I, too, must work to pay my own bills.

As I write this tonight, Parker is on his way to the emergency room yet again because something moved in his arm and hurt him so badly he was screaming. I was on the phone with him when this happened and I instantly fell sick. His roommate was right by his side as soon as he heard Parker's screams. I am waiting for a call to see what happened. In the meantime, I am asking if you feel compelled, if you find it in your heart to help this hardworking kid out, I would be so grateful and thankful. Most importantly, please keep my son in your prayers now and in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead because this is going to be a long road for him in more ways than one.
