Hello everyone I am the proud mother of the sweetest pitbull you’ll ever met. Frankie is a 1 year old blue nose pitbull who was adopted from New York Bully Crew in 2018. Frankie has been my shadow from the day we adopted him he was glued to my side. He is the youngest of our 4 dogs and full of energy and life our pack wouldn’t be the same without him.
Throughout my pregnancy he became obsessed with my belly and clearly understood there was a baby in there. Now that our son is just a month old the obsession with the baby has grown, Frankie is always near the baby regardless of time of day and activity. We want nothing more than our son to grow up with Frankie by his side as the two are destined to be best friends!
Frankie was always a bit clumsy but we were under the impression this was attributed to how big he is and that he is still a puppy he needed to grow into himself. Unfortunately in December 2019 we grew increasingly concerned about his clumsiness as it seemed to be even more exaggerated ... Frankies health took a turn for the worst, upon our return home from the hospital with our newborn son we noticed Frankies clumsiness suddenly seemed to be extremely exaggerated and he was falling all over himself. We took Frankie to a neurologist who had ordered bloodwork be done to rule out NCL. Our first hurdle would be to rule out this brain disease that we would have no control over and Frankie would slowly deteriorate. Upon receiving the news that’s the bloodwork is negative our next hurdle will be an MRI which could further determine what is causing Frankie to knuckle his paws, his unsteady gait and fall over himself. Possible diagnosis are wobblers syndrome, cerebellar hypoplasia, slipped disc and a cyst on his spine. From the results of the MRI we can determine the cause and treatment for Frankie.
Our bill has already been $600 just for bloodwork, with the MRI totaling $3500 just for diagnosing what is wrong with our sweet boy. We hope to have answers soon and possible ways of treatment to continue the best life possible for Frankie. Please keep him in your prayers.
ALL money raised will go towards Frankie’s present and future medical bills for his recently diagnosed condition.
