Support for Dave Coalson's Recovery Journey

Dave Coalson is many things to many people — a devoted father, a proud new grandfather, a loyal friend, a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and a beloved retired coach of Thunder Football in Woodstock. He’s someone who has always shown up for others with strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

Just a few weeks ago, Dave's life took a sudden and frightening turn. He was rushed to the hospital with a severe, life-threatening case of diverticulitis. Within hours, he underwent emergency surgery to save his life. Since then, complications have kept him in the hospital for a total of 21 days, including a second stay due to a serious infection.

Although he is now thankfully on the road to recovery, that road will be long. Dave faces another major surgery in the coming months and will be out of work during this time — all while managing the weight of ongoing medical expenses.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress for Dave and his family so he can focus on what truly matters: healing and getting back to the people and community he loves.
