Hi, my name is Phoenix, and the last few months have been a whirlwind of loss, shock, and unexpected survival. I was in a motorcycle crash that could’ve easily ended fatally, but by some miracle, I walked away almost unscathed. Then, not long after, my car caught fire and was completely destroyed. Thankfully I wasn’t hurt, but while the fire department was putting out the flames, my brand-new laptop was drenched and ruined in the process. It felt like one thing after another — physically, emotionally, and financially.
And yet, someone as small and insignificant as me is still worth holding onto through all of this — that’s what humbles me most. I believe with all my heart that God’s hand was over me. I’ve been protected, preserved, and reminded that I’m still here for a reason. Out of that realization, I’ve set a new goal: to complete a full Ironman triathlon this November — a demanding race that includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a full marathon all in one day. The registration alone is $1,000, a commitment I’m ready to make as a way of honoring the life I still have and running (literally) toward purpose and healing.
I’m raising funds to replace essential gear, cover training costs, and keep moving forward. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” and that truth fuels my journey every day. If you feel led to donate or share, thank you — your support is an answer to prayer.
