A close friend of mine recently took a three day trip to hunt, of course with his buddies, about three hours away from home. Thursday 12/11 was his last night to hunt before returning home Friday morning! Well, Thursday night after wrapping things up he fell 12ft from his tree stand. Leaving him on his back, on 712 acres of land, with no one around.
Luckily he was able to get a hold of his wife saying “help.. help..” she had no clue as to what was going on, all she knew was he was last known to be In the stand. Not having a direct number to who she needed, she made calls after calls before reaching someone he went up there with. They were able to make It to him and get him to the nearest hospital as quick as they could. After X-rays we’re done he needed to be transported to the next big hospital where he then hit ICU. He has an L1 fracture and will start surgery tomorrow. Recovery Is looking like 6 weeks of no work. Family and friends have come together (Including myself) to do the absolute best we can for them, especially when It comes to the kids they have (2 girls). Being the holidays this was a horrible time something so tragic could happen to such giving people. After medical bills add up, supporting kids and household bills, no work and groceries In between, makes It so hard. I’m making this, to do THE BEST I can to raise AS MUCH AS I CAN.. In just a blink of an eye life can change dramatically and In away you wouldn’t of seen coming.. Anything and everything helps and Is greatly appreciated.
