Amputation

Hello,
I have previously had a gofundme that was started years ago, originally with the intention of helping me pay for my last semester of undergrad, as well as my constant and extensive medical bills.
I decided to begin this new gofundme since I am about to get my amputation date set, and felt that it would be good to have a singular source of updates that I can provide along the way, to show the process that I am hoping you all will help make possible.
Those of you who know me know that I struggle immensely with asking for help, but after a great deal of thinking and help from friends, I am reminded that I need to keep asking for help in the place of other help that is sometimes traditionally possible(i.e parental financial support, etc).
The costs that I created this gofundme specifically for will include but are not limited to: doctor visit copays, whatever the copay turns out to be for the prosthetic that I receive afterwards(likely in the range of $2k-5k), the hospital visit costs(hopefully will be low, assuming the surgeon is able to get me scheduled for the surgery before the end of the year when I see him next Tuesday, Nov 6th), pain management care costs($200 per visit since he is in tier two of my insurance plan), rehab care costs, PT costs, paying for rent while I am unable to work during recovery(approx 2 months, assuming all goes well).
Based on the news from the MRI that will be done on November 5th, they will be deciding whether they will do a through-the-knee or above-the-knee amputation, since either have drastically different recovery protocols. On November 6th, I see the surgeon that will be doing the surgery, and hopefully get a date before the end of the year.
This is finally happening. I will be posting regular updates and am considering starting a blog to chronicle this journey. Love to all. Thank you again in advance for your support and making this possible!
