On May 12, 2015, Chris Armstrong lost her home and two cats to a fire. Chris is an Associate Professor of Communications at Northampton Community College where she is actively involved in bettering the lives of her students and colleagues both inside and outside the classroom. After volunteering to help bring electricity by way of wind turbine to people in Peru, she created a study abroad course which allows her and her students to return year after year to help those in need. Chris is someone that enjoys life's simple pleasures like being bundled up in her favorite blanket reading her favorite book while enjoying some hot cocoa. She's someone that never hesitates to put the feelings and needs of others before hers.
