A Fellow Employee

Our employee's are our family. Their happiness is our happiness, and their pain is our pain. When tragedy strikes within one of their lives, we feel it too. We are in a state of indescribable sadness and mourning after learning that one of our dear employees was tragically killed in a car accident this week. While this event in and of itself is heartbreaking, the pain is further compounded by the fact that this employees wife is also a cherished employee of our company. While many of us do not and should never understand the pain she and her family are going through, the sadness we feel is real and the call to action is necessary. There are no words to say that will make them feel whole, but we can step up by recognizing that an unplanned and untimely death brings upon a tremendous financial strain on a loved one's family, and doing what we can to ease that burden. We have decided to launch a company-wide campaign to assist them with the many expenses the magnitude this tragedy brings, and allow them to grieve their loss without having to worry about other factors, most notably, funeral expenses. Along the lines of allowing them to grieve properly, we are withholding their name to respect their privacy. We encourage you to please open your hearts and give what you can, we are one big family.
