Our family received devastating news. Our sister, Ashley was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She’s only 40 years old and the proud mom of a beautiful 1½-year-old daughter, Olivia “Livy Girl”

Ashley will need to undergo a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, and later reconstructive surgery. It’s an overwhelming journey physically, emotionally, and financially.

Although her boyfriend serves in the U.S. Navy, they aren’t married, which means she doesn’t qualify for his military insurance. She’ll be facing months of treatment while trying to care for her baby and manage everyday living expenses…. all while being unable to work during large parts of her treatment.

If you know Ashley, you know she’s the kind of person who’s always there for everyone else…. the sister who shows up, the friend who listens, the aunt who never misses a birthday. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
