Hi everyone, myself and a few of Hazels close friends have decided to start a “go fund me page” for our wonderful friend. Hazel’s current treatment (immunotherapy) has unfortunately stopped working for her. We (family and friends) are looking to get Hazel private medical care, which will open up more options to fight against advanced melanoma.

Hazels story :

Hazel is an amazing mum of three, wonderful wife and fabulous friend

to many. More than a decade after she was first treated for an

aggressive cancerous mole on her leg - in 2023, she was diagnosed with

a rare late recurrent melanoma.

She has battled on with phenomenal strength, positivity and an

unwavering smile through some serious surgery, a year of targeted

cancer treatment and months of immunotherapy. The immunotherapy has

now stopped as unfortunately it wasn't working and Hazel now needs to

find a new course of treatment.

She has continued to work full time, self-employed, as the fabulous

Foot Genie - not only caring for feet but moreover the people they

belong to, many of whom have become friends.

She adores her work and wants to continue providing for her family and

bringing up her cherished children but she now needs some support.

There are other treatments, approved overseas, which are showing

promising results for the type of cancer Hazel has. They are

currently only available in clinical trials in the UK and Hazel has

applications in to access the treatment. In the interim she needs to

explore all avenues including self-funding the treatment and stepping

back from work - at least a little for the time being while she works

through this huge challenge.

This page has been set-up on behalf of Hazel as an appeal to all those

who know and love her to help raise funds and support her in this

battle and access pioneering treatment.
