My son and I need to leave the abusive home we are in. I am starting a GoFundMe to help us raise enough money to be able to get an apartment for ourselves.

I left my ex-husband/father of my child when I got pregnant because he had become abusive. I did not want to raise my son in an abusive home, so I left and we got divorced. We moved in with my parents because I was extremely ill during my pregnancy, and being a single mother was difficult. It was great to have my parents there to help.

Eventually, our multigenerational household became more and more hostile. We are at the point now where it is time to leave, and I need help getting enough to have two months' rent and security deposit on an apartment. After that, we have enough to maintain monthly expenses. It's just getting in the door we need help with.
