"We are Adam and Rebecca Devine from Sandy Lake, PA and we started The Devine Inspirations. No, it is not a typo. It is our last name!"
The Devine Inspirations started as Adam's public speaking business in 2012. Months later, imagine his surprise when Rebecca told him that she booked the family to give a church service concert at the Clintonville Community Days Festival! Adam, who had never sang before, was about to learn a new gift from God!
"I was at a point in my life that I was tired of praying for doors to open and then refusing to walk through the doors that were opened." Rebecca said, "When this door was opened to us, I said yes to everything. In this situation, 'everything' involved buying a sound system, picking and buying contemporary Christian accompaniment tracks, teaching my 7, 5, 3, and 35 year old (Adam) to sing, teaching dances, writing a children's message, costumes, set design, and more. Meanwhile, Adam wrote two church messages for this Community Fun Days Church Service."
"When the semi truck arrived with pallets of equipment blocking the busy road in front of our house," Adam explained, "I told the driver 'This is going to be a while because this gear doesn't belong to me, it belongs to God.' and he slowly unloaded allowing me to pray over every single box that came off of the truck."
That first concert was all it took! The Devine Inspirations took off from 12 events in 2012, to 42 in 2013, to 63 in 2014, and 97 in 2015. Rebecca said, "I still say 'yes' to every event and opportunity that God places before us. I want to stay on His path for my life, not mine."
Over the years, the public speaking branched out to teach employment seminars, speak to students about adversity, five different full length concerts, full service retreats and conferences, a gift shop, newsletters, blogs, and so much more. "God's blessings are pouring out on us with so many opportunities!" Adam exclaimed. " We even get to share our testimonies on TV! In early summer 2016, an interview with Rebecca and I will appear on Crossing Paths TV Ministry saying how we came to know Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior as well as how The Devine Inspirations began. Crossing Paths started locally but is now national through Cornerstone Television. In May, our children will be recorded for their interview on Crossing Paths TV Ministry which is the first time having children interviewed on their program!"
In August 2015, Rebecca left her full time employment which was supporting The Devine Inspirations. She simply couldn't keep up with working full time, working overtime, working for The Devine Inspirations, and being a mother and wife. She chose to follow the calling and work for God alone. This pulled the financial cushion from The Devine Inspirations and greatly increased the need for faith and trust in God's provision.
Still, The Devine Inspirations doesn't give a bill for anything that they do. "I've never been comfortable asking to be paid a price for what we do. I've prayed about it and never found peace. I don't want to put a price on who can receive God's message through us or who we will be allowed to minister to in the audience. I want God to use me whenever and wherever to whoever He wants. I don't ever want money to be an issue or a deterrent. So, we don't ask for any payment. We simply ask that they pray and whatever amount spoken to them is the exact correct amount of pay," stated Adam.
Adam and Rebecca's children have always been a part of The Devine Inspirations. They sing, tap dance, draw, use puppetry, act, give testimony, and more during every concert. Rebecca says, "With their tiny voices maturing, it is evident that it is time to record our songs how they sound right now. We've prayed and discussed this for several years and now all of the pieces have come together. It's God's perfect timing."
The Devine Inspirations uses mostly Daywind Records accompaniment tracks so it makes sense to go to Daywind Studio in Nashville, TN to record a professional CD. This purchase will give the rights to use the music in any venue, on TV broadcasts, and even the potential to make a DVD of this concert in the future without infringing on any copywriter laws. Thankfully, these plans are during a special and will receive 200 additional CDs at no cost. The sale of these CDs will help The Devine Inspirations to better support itself, spread the Gospel into the homes of listeners, and also provide a means to give demos to larger venues as a requirement for their application process. The price of this trip to Nashville, the recording package (with photo shoot, cover, you-tube video, and 500 CDs) is approximately $4000. We are putting in as much money as we can but we have very little and already paid the deposit. We have nothing but donations from upcoming concerts and trust that God will provide, as He always does.

Half of the payment is due on April 27, 2016.
The remainder is due 6-8 weeks later when the CDs are shipped.
Travel and meal expenses are at the end of April.
