It is with our greatest sadness, pain & grief that we are reaching out to our family, friends, and all communities on behalf of Chris Jude Contreras.
On Tuesday May 12, 2015, a call from the coroner’s office was made confirming that an incident had happened on May 11, 2015 late that evening involving our sibiling. It was a call that no brother, sister, or parent should ever have to receive. Chris had been confirmed as deceased by the coroner. He had passed in a car incident. We can’t imagine the horrific pain he felt.
Chris leaves behind brothers, sisters, a father & two twin sons. His mother also died 3 ½ years ago due to cancer which she almost beat, but then it came back with vengeance & took her from us in 2011. It was a tragedy that was very hard on the family & till this day, we continue to grieve. We can only assume he fell into a dark world & started to feel alone. Depression can be ugly because he truly was a good man deep inside. He was just someone who lost himself along the way. He always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker and was always trying to help others. He did very well in hiding it from his family because no one noticed the signs. Today, I only ask our family that we do not point fingers nor blame ourselves for what has happened, but only to remember all the good memories of Chris. Even though we suffer once again with another loss, let’s unite & pray that his mom, Marsha Contreras awaits him at those pearly white gates with a hug so tight, that he will smile again & be happy.
It was only 5 days ago that we saw Chris at a family BBQ, we did not see the signs & for that we are truly sorry & hope you know we all did love you! We ask today that each & every one of you reading this, hug a family member today & tell them that you love them & no matter what you always will.
Any donations that you make will make a difference with our unexpected family loss to help cover some of the funeral expense. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Even a simple prayer will be felt a long way. Please keep our family in your prayers at this time of loss.
RIP, Chris Jude Contreras, God willing your mom will be waiting for you at the pearly white gates with your hug.
