So many of us have asked how we can help Kristen, John and their kids. How better to show our love and support for their family with a fun morning run/walk and breakfast? There will be a donation jar that morning or you can donate through go fund me.
The run will be on Sunday, March 6th. There will be an early crew headed out at 7:30am for a 10K . At 8:30 there will be a 5K option and a 1 mile option(kid friendly). Please bring kids and strollers. This is low key and for fun! If you aren't up for running or walking come and visit with friends! Following the run/walks we will gather for a light breakfast.
Event will take place at:
Temeku Equine (The Huth Family)
43250 Los Corralitos Rd.
Temecula, CA 92592
If you are unable to make it please still feel free to donate.
An update from Kristen:
John started getting symptoms of the stomach flu while we were out of town for the weekend. By 2am, he had been in the bathroom so much and couldn't hold anything down, so he was depleted and extremely dehydrated. He was in the bathroom when he fainted into the granite countertop then tile floor. Long story short, he was rushed to the ER where they discovered he fractured and severely bruised his neck and back (called central cord syndrome), requiring surgery after the swelling goes down...he also fractured his nose in multiple places. He doesn't have full control of his arms and hands at this point, and his legs are on their way to full mobility. We are extremely lucky, he gets to wait at home until the surgery...but, he has to pretend like he's in the hospital which is very hard for my active guy. He was extremely close to being fully paralyzed (he couldn't feel or move anything for quite awhile on Sunday morning)and even with this surgery, he will have a long road ahead...6-12 months recovery time. For those of you that know his business (HVAC company and all very laborious), he will be hanging up his tools for good. Our life has drastically changed directions, but I know everything happens for a reason, and we intend to turn this into a positive...onward and upward!
