Kodiak High Europa Challenge
Donation protected
We are Kodiak High School Middle College Students from Kodiak Island in Alaska! Our high school team is the first in the world to be accepted to compete in the international university and business level Europa Challenge in Como, Italy this July. It sounds too good to be true. Our school district has partnered with Trillium Learning, NASA Ames Research Center, and Intelesense in project based learning to solve real world problems. Our Code is Open Source and is embedded in NASA World Wind, a high end Google Earth like web application.
We never believed we would have been accepted. And now we have! But we need to raise funds to travel. We already live in a remote part of the world. We are applying for our first passports. We are racing to complete details of our code and GEFS stations. We just need a lot of money to fly and stay in a hotel for ten days. The more money we raise the more students on the team can go.
