Cocoa's Medical bills

Hi!

My name is Chris, and I am raising money to help with my dog's medical bills.

If you do not know Cocoa, she is the sweetest dog. She is 14 years old and always has positive energy and brings happiness to those around her.

I am starting this GoFundMe because recently, she had quite a serious medical scare. She had not been eating for a few days and had shallow energy and difficulty walking. I took her to the animal emergency room on Thursday, 9/15. She had to be hospitalized and was diagnosed with rather severe anemia, necessitating x-rays, an ultrasound, and labwork to determine the cause. She also needed a blood transfusion and had a two-night stay at the hospital. Her medical bills have totaled $6,500, and her treatment is ongoing. She has made a robust recovery and has returned home, happy and back to her usual self.

Her insurance cannot cover these costs now, and I am looking for help covering these bills as they have left my bank account depleted. Please know that I am continuing her care in her best interest and will do anything to make sure she is comfortable and happy.
