Alaina Rose

This is Alaina. She’s one of the happiest , smartest , and sassiest 2 year old. When she was a baby she hit every milestone , she started rolling over at 3 months, she was always babbling , she sat up at 5 months on her own. Alaina started crawling shorty after sitting up. A week after her first birthday she took her first steps. Everything was great ! Mom and Dad were happy to have a walker . She eventually started walking the dog and kicking a soccer ball. The regression started happening shortly after she turned 18 months of age . She started being a little too clumsy , always falling and tripping over her feet . It got to the point parents thought she was doing it on purpose until they realized she started struggling getting back up on her feet after she had fallen. Alaina got a fever and It’s like it weakened her body even more . Eventually she started only cruising around the couch where she could hold on to it . Then it escalated and got worse , she had weakness in her legs and then arms and now she has weakness in her neck . She can no longer cruise around the couch or stand on her own. It’s hard for her to hold her head up unless she’s in certain sitting position . Although she can’t really do much she still has her own way of playing with toys in her high chair. She’s a very happy little girl and makes her presence known. This disease has only affected her big muscles and caused weakness but she is not in pain and for that we than God every day. Alaina has been in the hospital for 2 months due to RSV and because of her disease it’s been a bit harder for her to recover. But with all the prayers she is receiving she is doing much better.
