February 23 I had a mammogram. On 2/24 I got the call saying the results we abnormal. March 4th I went in for more extensive imaging and an ultrasound of my left breast which resulted in me consulting with a surgeon and a biopsy the very next day (March 5th). March 9th is when the call came in, IT'S CANCER! March 11 I'm in the office taking to my doctor and it's Ductoral Carcinoma and Llobular. With all this being said and discussed I have opted for a double mastectomy with reconstructive. I then was sent over to do genetic testing (find out if I have a mutated gene that can be passed down to my children. On March 16th I get to go take to the plastic surgeon who is going to be working on my case. As of right now I will not have a stage or know if any of my lymph nodes have been affected by the cancer but we will be finding out about the lymph nodes on surgery date where they are going to then send it to pathology and remove lymph nodes if they are needed to be removed. I have been told it will be at least 2 weeks out of work with the possibility of it being longer. Thank you for reading this far and looking forward to keeping you updated .
