Hi, Well my Grandmother, whom I was a caregiver for over the past 10 years and lived with since I was 7 years old (she was a second Mom to me), was such a strong woman. For years she endured so many hardships, it seemed like every day there was something else going on with her health-wise. However she fought for years to thrive and stayed positive during the long, painful journey. My husband and I lived with her and he always called her a ninja, she was bad-ass and never gave up lol. She surely was an inspiration for us both and for the rest of her family. Sadly these past 2 months became even more difficult, she had such trouble breathing and had to go to a special hospital that specializes in breathing therapy, she was not able to be at home with her cats that she adored, it broke her heart being away from them. We originally thought the goal was for her to be able to come home as her breathing was improving. Then suddenly I got a call that her health declined rapidly within a day, and she would no longer be able to come, and that she was being sent to hospice where she would be comfortable in her final days(damn cancer and heart failure!!! ). Although I knew her life would not be prolonged for a long time, I did not expect this to happen this quickly, within 3 days my Grandmother slipped away and went to heaven. I thank God that I was able to be by her side when her time came, along with her best friend from childhood ❤️, she knew she wasn't alone. I am trying my best to keep it together as she told me to be strong like she was, however I am struggling with her bills and other expenses related to her passing and her celebration of life preparation . If anyone would like to donate anything to help us out I would be immensely grateful, anything helps, it really does.
God bless and please remember to cherish the moments you share with your loved ones. You never know when it could be the last phone call or last text you share with that person.
