15 students, one semester, and three films. For their senior thesis project, 15 UF film students work in crews to write, produce and execute three professional-level short films.
Grade A Love: When a cocky college student’s bet to date one woman for extra
credit leads him to unexpectedly fall for her, he must navigate a web of
romance and revelation to salvage his relationship and his grade.
Physique: Cole, a gay senior in college, recounts to his support group how his eating disorder started.
Invidia: Jane befriends beauty queen Sienna who is everything she has ever wanted to be, but when their new friendship puts Jane at arm's reach for a brand new opportunity, she becomes obsessed with making it hers.
Known as the class that will most likely take over your life, students go through pre-production, three weeks of production, and finally post-production to make these films fully. Spanning across multiple genres, the films created can appeal to anyone and everyone! We also partner with local Gainesville businesses and UF acting majors to make this a mutually beneficial experience for everyone in our community that is involved.
With these ambitious ideas and equally ambitious students, we need YOUR help to make these films as great as they can possibly be. These funds will go towards securing locations, production design efforts, film festival entries, and fueling all the ins and outs of creating three movies. We will all be using these films for our reels and portfolios when we head out into the film industry and want to make them as amazing as they can be. Anything you can give is incredibly appreciated!
