Help Monica Beat Cancer

Donation protected
In October of 2025, my niece-in-law Monica was diagnosed with stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. This type of cancer is extremely rare - even more so at the young age of 27. Monica was just days away from beginning 3rd Term Clinicals to graduate with her Nursing degree, on the Dean's List each semester. She and her husband, Scottie (my nephew) had just bought their first home together to build an even stronger foundation for their 5-year-old son, Brantley and two fur monsters, Remington and Rocco. As you can imagine, the diagnosis put their plans for the future on hold.

But Monica’s a fighter. She’s been powering through chemo every Monday—just taking it week by week. Through all the pain and illness, she has been pushing through like any strong wife and momma would. We are so relieved that after 12 long weeks, she completed her first full treatment cycle!

Unfortunately, she’s not quite finished. She has another eight weeks of an even more aggressive chemotherapy ahead of her, followed by two surgeries and radiation. As you can imagine, each scan, specialist, treatment, surgery, and hospital stay adds up significantly. Insurance helps but only covers so much. Going from two incomes to one due to circumstances out of their control makes things even more difficult. Scottie is an incredibly hard worker and does everything he can for his family. I really want to help take some of the financial stress off his shoulders so he can focus on Monica and their beautiful family as they get through this tough time together. And donation amount helps and will go directly toward covering medical expenses and general household bills.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about Monica and Scottie’s story. Our entire family is grateful for any donation you are able to offer and thank you for your generosity.
