Fundraiser for Epilepsy Ireland
This April 5th I will take part in the Quest Glendalough Dual race and I’m using this opportunity to raise money for Epilepsy Ireland.
Last year, our youngest son was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Thankfully, his epilepsy is being managed now with medication and he leads a very happy, healthy life.
There is also a very good chance that he may, please god, grow out of his epilepsy over the coming years.
But it has been frightening to think that he might have any sort of issue that could make him more vulnerable, or limit his life in any way. We are so grateful that he is doing well, so as a way to ‘pay it forward’ I am raising funds for Epilepsy Ireland.
Epilepsy Ireland's vision is to achieve a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. They are committed to working for and meeting the needs of everyone with epilepsy in Ireland and their families and carers.
They achieve these goals by providing support and information services, raising awareness and advocating for people with epilepsy, providing training and education and undertaking & supporting epilepsy research.
Thanks for reading. Any donation big or small is very much appreciated!
