Please Help Our Sister Oriana and Her Family
Our dear sister Oriana has been courageously battling Crohn’s disease, a painful and debilitating disorder, for many, many years.
Recently, her condition has worsened, and it is heartbreaking knowing that, on top of everything she endures physically, she also has a young son who needs her love and care every single day.
This past year has been especially challenging. Oriana spent over a month at Mount Sinai Hospital and now must travel back and forth to Mount Sinai and Englewood Hospital for ongoing treatments and follow-up care. Even when she is home, she doesn’t get much rest—nurses visit her daily to help with necessary treatments.
Sadly, many of these hospital stays, medical visits, and home care services are only partially covered—or not covered at all—by insurance, leaving Oriana and her family facing overwhelming expenses.
On top of all of this, Oriana must follow a very specific, medically required diet to manage her condition. This means she has to prepare separate meals for herself while also cooking different meals for her husband and young son. It is exhausting physically, and it adds another layer of financial strain, as specialty foods are often costly and difficult to maintain on top of all the other medical and living expenses.
Through everything, Oriana remains faithful to Jehovah, leaning on Him for strength and courage each day. She has stayed strong and firm in her beliefs, even when faced with tremendous pressure from doctors to accept treatments such as blood transfusions.
Her loyalty and trust in Jehovah during these trials are truly inspiring to all who know her. Her husband has been by her side every step of the way, often staying with her in New York City for weeks at a time during long hospital stays.
The emotional, physical, and financial toll on this family has been immense. They are doing everything they can to keep life stable for their little boy, who deserves to have his mom home and well, free from constant worry about how to afford the care she needs.
We are reaching out with love and hope, asking for your help. Any donation—no matter the amount—can make a real difference by helping cover hospital bills, travel expenses, specialized food, home care, and daily necessities.
Please also keep Oriana and her family in your prayers. Your support—whether financial, practical, or spiritual—will not only help ease their burden but will remind them that they are surrounded by a loving community of brothers and sisters who care deeply.
Let’s come together to lift Oriana up, to help her stay strong for her little boy, and to give this beautiful family some peace and comfort during an incredibly difficult season of life.
