Cancer Treatment

My name is Jeremiah Bryant.

Nine days ago we discovered my Mother In Law, Galena Lee of Hinton Oklahoma has advanced cervical cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. Due to the size of the tumor she has very limited options, and treatment is going to be expensive.

Galena was born into a hard life. Despite facing adversity she raised 9 children virtually alone. She worked 3 jobs to make sure her children, one of whom is my wife and the love of my life, were fed, clothed, and able to obtain an education. I have never in my life known a person who has the grit and determination of this wonderful woman. I will not go into the details of her childhood but I cannot fully comprehend how she was able to face the life she has faced and yet still raise such amazing children. Her children went on to go to college, work hard, and all of them have raised loving families of their own. She is not a person to take handouts. Everything she's ever done she's done on her own. If she knew I was doing this she would be humilated but she needs help and I do not think we will be able to cover all the costs on our own.

She begins treatment this week and due to having very little income she does not have health coverage. We are working to get her an ACA plan to cover her medical expenses but open enrollment does not begin until November 1st. Past this she has other expenses and will likely be much to sick from radiation and chemo to work and pay her bills.

We are asking that anyone who feels it in their heart and is able to donate please know that this money will be used to help a person who has never asked for anything in her life. We know often times that people unfairly face things and its breaks my heart that her reward for giving of herself everyday of her life is a cancer diagnosis.

Please can you help us get her the care she needs. Every little bit helps as she does have very little living expenses so even a small amount will go a long way. My wife and I will be covering whatever other costs we can but from what we undertsand the treatment has a good chance to get it in remission.
