Branden Terrell Eaton was a nurse at the Manor Care Imperial nursing home in Richmond, VA, having been born in Raleigh, NC. On December 6th, his 29th birthday, his co-workers from the nursing home went on a bus tour bus to see Christmas lights. At the end of the night when the tour concluded back at the nursing home, Branden's friends and co-workers went to wake him, assuming he had fallen asleep during the tour. Unfortunately, at some point during the tour, he had stopped breathing and they rushed him to the VCU Medical Center. With his body being deprived of oxygen for an extended peiod of time, life support was all that was keeping him alive, sadly with no chance of recovery.
He passed away on December 13th with his Mother and older brother Randloph Eaton III (Tre) at his side.
Tre is an employee of Closet Factory - Raleigh and has been a caring and conscientious employee of ours. He is currently in Virginia with his Mother helping arrange for Branden's funeral. Being without him has left a large hole, but all of our team has chipped in and we have assured Tre that his job will be here waiting for him when he gets back.
Branden thoughtfully designated Tre's daughter as his beneficiary, but as a minor, that money is effectively unavailable until she turns 18. A wonderful act, but one that Branden could not have imagined would have come to use, so early in his life. Branden was supporting his mother in Virginia and neither she nor Tre have the needed, immediate access to the money needed to pay for a burial.
Tre is anxious to get back to work on Monday, but he is very upset about having to leave his Mother without any plans for Branden's funeral. We suggested he reach out to their church and use GoFundMe. His family is small and he has very little presence on Social Media and was afraid he wouldn't get anywhere.
I'd like to humbly ask for a small donation to help his family in this incredibly difficult time. I know that Tre would be forever grateful for any help and maybe we can add a silver lining to this tragedy where he can see the generosity of strangers and the greater Closet Factory family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider this. Any donated funds above funeral expense will be given to Branden and Tre's mother.
