Hello, I'm Lydia Lechner and I could use some help finishing school!
A year ago my mom helped me enroll in Florida International University's School of Law Paralegal Program, a private program offered at the school to give law students a chance to become a certified paralegal in a year. My mom knew how important school is to me and how excited I was to start my classes. She told me if I enrolled she would pay for my classes so I could focus solely on my school work. The field of Law can be difficult and time-consuming sometimes! Unfortunately, after my first semester in the program, she passed away.
I thought about leaving school and just focusing on helping my siblings figure out life without mom around, but I knew that's not what my mom would want me to do. So, I worked my way through my second semester and managed to pass all my classes, all while helping my family move into a new house and set up their new life. Just when everything started to seem normal, the Coronavirus hit America, leaving thousands of people, including me, out of a job. It's now time for me to enroll in my last semester and I have no income. I received notice from my school that I wouldn't be able to enroll in the semester without payment.
My final semester starts the first week of May and, while I know times are tough right now, I could really use some help! It would mean the absolute world to me if you were able to donate even the smallest amount.
