Dana is a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, and friend who is facing the biggest battle of her life, leukemia. She is a single mother and the sole provider for her and her 11-year-old daughter Emily. Dana’s younger brother, who’s a disabled veteran, and his family moved out here from Colorado to help her out. She has opened her home to him and his family in their time of need while he is unemployed due to being laid off.  Dana has been known to donate to charities such as “harvest food banks”, stuff the bus”, “room in the inn”, and “adopt a family during the holidays” every year.  She has always been known to give and take care of others. For instance, like when her dad fell ill, she opened her home so she could make sure he had everything he needed along side her mom.

Now Dana faces a long road ahead of her with multiple treatments of chemo and not being able to work for at least 6 months. The doctors have told her that that is the best-case scenario. Not to mention those 6 months or more, will all be spent in the hospital. She will not only be away from her daughter for a long duration but she will not be able to work either for those 6+months. Already for just the past 7 days alone her portion out of pocket, after insurance, is already $6,000. This is going to multiply greatly in the coming months. Dana has given so much to others throughout her life it only seems right to help her out in her most trialing time. Please help us raise money for not just her but for her daughter too. The last thing she needs to worry about is her finances while dealing with a life threating illness.
