When we began to plan our mission trip to Nepal last year we had no idea we'd be walking in the situation which exists there now.
The greatest physical needs of the people right now are shelter (especially in light of the coming rainy season) and the means to purify water for drinking.
Our team of 11 people plan to take in rolls of plastic sheeting which can be used for shelter and cash which will be given to people we know to be RELIABLE who will use it to purchase chemicals for water purification and other essential items.
Sadly, corruption, graft, and inefficiency is preventing many people from getting what they need. We know trustworthy Nepali people with whom we will work to distribute as much aid as possible efficiently and equitably. We will be "boots on the ground" in Nepal June 21-July 4.
