Hi, my name is Josh and I am fundraising with the hope of travelling to Kenya on this meaningful African adventure! I will be making a real difference for many people and animals in Kenya. I will be getting involved in a range of projects, helping to support education and community development in two rural communities. I will become part of the community as I live and work alongside local people, learning about the challenges faced by local people as well as the rich tradition and culture of Kenya.

This adventure will take me from the savannahs of Tsavo, teeming with Kenya’s top wildlife, to the white-sand beaches of Diani where I will also learn to explore the underwater world. I will be getting stuck into environmental and wildlife-focused projects. I will undertake projects such as tree planting, and animal de-worming, learning about sustainable solutions to local and global issues. I will be helping to renovate and build new houses in the community, as well as school buildings so that local children have a clean and safe academic environment. I will get involved in initiatives to promote a peaceful co-existence between the community and the local wildlife, such as improving natural waterholes and planting indigenous trees for habitat and food sources. All of the projects I will be working on whilst in Kenya are aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and designed to make a significant and lasting impact on the region’s most critical issues.

I have until summer 2026 to put all of my energy and efforts into fundraising the total amount needed in order to turn this dream trip into a reality for me! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, I am so excited about this once in a lifetime African adventure!
