Hi, my name is Enya and my mum has recently been diagnosed with stage four gallbladder cancer.

Gallbladder cancer is very rare, with around 1000 new cases each year in the UK, and unfortunately is predominantly diagnosed in the later stages.

Regardless of these horrible statistics, I refuse to let my mother be another statistic. Therefore, I am starting this fundraiser to raise money for more treatment options to give my mum a better chance of longevity of life. I am hoping to be able to explore treatment options abroad, options that are not readily available in the UK due to funding restrictions. We are looking at treatments such as TACE, which average around £3000 per round, with the average person needing around 3-5 rounds.

While this fundraiser is mainly for treatment options, I will express that I intend on using some of the funds for my mum to experience new things. Every day should be a day to celebrate life, and I want my mum to not be all encompassed by her diagnosis.

Any donations are greatly appreciated, truly from the bottom of my heart. My mum is my best friend, and to see her lumbered with this awful diagnosis has shattered my heart into a million pieces. So I need to anything and everything I can do to help her.
