!Emergency Move Needed!

Hello everyone, my name is Persephone, and I am here to ask for your support and donations. Due to some extreme circumstances, my roommate and I need to move within the next couple of months. As sad as it makes us to move from our current home in Bushwick, it is just not feasible anymore. We have struggled to keep our home for the last two years, but the pandemic and other surprises have made it difficult to find steady work as a freelancer and teacher in NYC.

A bit of the family that you will be helping. I am Persephone Sarah Jane Smith. I am a freelance programmer and trans woman of color. I have been mostly out of work since this pandemic started. As a result, I decided that it was time to go back to school and finish my degree in computer science to increase my value in the job market. Gabriel is a teacher. His peculiar specialty has made it challenging to find the right job here in New York. And there is Tsukiyomi, our lovely kitty looking forward to an adventure abroad.

We have decided that NYC is no longer viable for us and plan to make a move to Buffalo, New York. For Gabe, it is a move of convenience as he will be near some family and a fresh batch of schools to work at. For me, It is a move closer to the school that I would like to attend and I have never been that far north. I can work from anywhere as a freelancer.

All we can do right now is ask for help to cover the expense of such a long move. Our finances have been nearly depleted trying to stay afloat in this world today.
