I’m setting up this GoFundMe to support my amazing partner, Alex, in raising funds for his top surgery. Any help—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—means the world to us.

Alex is a proud transgender man who has spent his entire life feeling disconnected from his body. At 26 years old, he’s finally started his medical transition and is now on testosterone, a huge and empowering step forward. But top surgery is a vital part of his journey—and unfortunately, it’s just out of reach financially.

After years of navigating the NHS system, Alex has only recently been added to the waiting list for top surgery. But even now, the wait could be another 4–5 years. That’s a long time to continue living in a body that causes him deep distress and discomfort every single day.

The goal is to raise £10,000 so Alex can access private surgery and move forward with his transition without waiting years more. Even a portion of that amount would bring us so much closer to giving him the comfort and confidence he deserves.

I see firsthand how much Alex struggles—his chest dysphoria impacts his mental health, self-esteem, and ability to enjoy life. He wears compression binders daily just to feel a little more at ease, but they’re physically painful and potentially harmful with long-term use. He often avoids going out or being in social situations because of the anxiety and discomfort.
