For the first time in UCSB history, our Mock Trial team has made it to Nationals!
This is a huge accomplishment for not only our team, but for UCSB as a whole. Only 48 out of 700+ teams made it to Nationals and this year, after countless hours of work, UCSB Mock Trial was out of them!
Unfortunately, competing in Mock Trial is extremely expensive and this year, Nationals will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from April 20-22nd. We are struggling to find the funds to send our 14 person team to compete because right now, we simply cannot afford to go. Your donations would go directly to helping us afford the travel and competition expenses. With your donations, we will finally be able to take advantage of this huge opportunity! We will be using these funds to pay our airfare and our registration fees for the National Tournament.
Mock Trial is an amazing academic sport centered around arguing complex court cases as both attorneys and witnesses. It is an incredible place for students to develop countless professional skills and learn the ins and outs of trial litigation. Here at UCSB, Mock Trial is a student run program, which means that our members act as the Executive Board, coaches, tournament directors, and competitors, all while being a full-time student. We are already so thankful for all of the attorneys and administrators who have helped us in the past, but now, aid is needed more than ever.
From our Mock Trial Family to yours, we want to thank you for all donations. Thank you for helping us represent our school at such a high caliber and thank you for helping us make history!
