UCR LAS Defense

UCR LAS Defense is set up to seek legal advice regarding the sudden reorganization of University College Roosevelt in Middelburg.

UCR LAS Defense is an informal group of concerned parents, students, UCR staff (both fired and not fired), alumni and parents of alumni.

We are shocked by the abrupt reorganization that has left students and staff mid-term in a state of uncertainty, jeopardizing the student's academic progress and causing immense distress throughout the UCR community.

We are gravely concerned about the consequences of the newly presented outline of plans. We fear the future of UCR is in immediate danger. Our goal is to preserve UCR as it was meant to be: a unique Liberal Arts and Sciences program with a culture of academic excellence and innovation - guided by a faculty of outstanding caliber.

For this goal we need specialist legal advice. We have contacted a Dutch law firm in Amsterdam that is willing to help us.

The start-up legal costs are estimated at 6.500,- but might increase significantly in the process.

The money we raise through this Go Fund Me campaign will be used exclusively to pay the lawyers. All other efforts in organizing this action will be executed on a voluntary basis.

This Go Fund Me campaign had to be attributed to an individual fundraiser, but for the receipt of the payments a new, empty bank account has been created. There is no mix up in any form with personal financial activities.
