Darrell has been in the hospital since Wednesday evening, initially admitted to the CCU. It began with a fever on Tuesday, escalating rapidly by Wednesday. A visit to the ER revealed a dangerously high blood sugar level of 566 and a temperature of 109.5, along with diabetic ketoacidosis.

Despite efforts to stabilize him, Darrell's condition worsened, leading to intubation and sedation to manage his fever and allow him to rest. Thankfully, his sugar levels have improved, and he's been fever-free for 24 hours. The medical team plans to attempt to wake him up soon, but he still has a long recovery ahead.
