Support Mom's Fight Against Cancer

Aloha Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to humbly ask for your help. Since December 2024, my mom has been bravely fighting a recurrence of breast cancer. Sadly, the cancer has metastasized, spreading to her lungs and bones, and has triggered a series of life-threatening complications.

Over the past months, she has endured multiple hospitalizations, invasive procedures, and unbearable discomfort. She has had chest tubes placed twice to drain fluid from her lungs—first in December, and again in March after an infection spread to her right lung. Most recently, the fluid buildup has reached her heart, requiring more procedures and continuous oxygen support just to help her breathe.

Her last hospitalization included a 24-hour stay in the ICU (costing 30,000 pesos), followed by several days in a private room at 3,000 pesos per day. On top of this, her medications for swelling and infection cost around 9,000 pesos per cycle—she needs six cycles, and has completed three so far. Her doctor’s fees alone have already reached 150,000 pesos, and our current hospital bill stands at 300,000 pesos and growing daily.

My mom has made the courageous personal decision to decline chemotherapy, focusing instead on managing her pain and improving her quality of life with supportive therapies, prescribed medication, and vitamins.

Despite my full-time job and side business, I simply cannot keep up with the medical bills and our family’s basic needs. That’s why I am turning to you—our friends, family, and community—for support.
