800 S Holden Street House
WHY:
This fall we begin our 49th year as a chapter at the University of Central Missouri. This is the longest any Delta Chi Chapter has existed uninterrupted in the US.
Unit D at the Fraternity Complex has long been our home at UCM. It's lifespan is at its end and there is little-to-no budget at the University to fund a new complex.
OUR PARTNERS:
Over a year ago the ABT Leadership began vetting additional housing options. We were fortunate to find Barrister Capital Corporation. Barrister is the housing arm of the Delta Chi National Fraternity and currently help other Delta Chi chapters secure housing properties across the country. Barrister will own and manage the house moving forward. Our active members will be tenants of the property.
OUR CHALLENGE:
The house in its current condition is not livable. This is why the current owner was motivated to sell. We have set a goal of raising $100k to ensure that all repairs are made on time and the house is MOVE IN READY for the Fall of 2019. You can track the overall fundraising progress on the website: https://ucm-delta-chi.webflow.io/
