UCF Rock Climbing Team: Florida State Champions!
The mission of the Rock Climbing Club at UCF is to empower UCF students by providing them with a heightened sense of self confidence and better quality of life through the thrilling sport of rock climbing! By educating students on both safety precautions and proper climbing techniques we are creating a new generation of strong, smart, confident climbers right here in Central Florida!
As the sponsor of the UCF Rock Climbing Team, the Rock Climbing Club at the University of Central Florida is responsible for assisting climbers cover the costs of competitions at the local and national level. The UCF Rock Climbing Team has proudly won three CCS National Competitions and we hope to bring this tradition back in 2015.
CCS Nationals 2015 will be held at the Mesa Rim Indoor Climbing and Fitness Center in San Diego, California, on the weekend of April 17! The top 6 guys/gals on the Rock Climbing Team at UCF, have earned the opportunity to travel across the country and represent the University of Central Florida at this awesome national competition!
Unfortunately, the cost of airfare, lodging, and registration for this national competition is going to be pretty steep...
With your financial support, the cost of Nationals for each team member will be reduced. Rather than seek personal donations to cover each member’s trip cost to San Diego, we have decided to pool all donations received through this drive so that all team members can benefit equally. After all, the support system we have created as team is what pushes us to excel in the sport of rock climbing and what has made our college experience so worthwhile. A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated!
