UCF Pre-Dental Students Service Trip
Donation protected
Dear Supporters,
In past years, the Pre-Dental Student Association (PDSA) at UCF has been fortunate enough to travel to Nicaragua and Panama to help provide care to underserved communities. This has only been possible by the help of those who believe in our organization's mission. Since 2019, all trips were paused due to the global pandemic and the people of Panama have struggled greatly to access dental and medical care. This year, we have been given the opportunity to return to Panama to spread good will, learn and impact the lives of those in Panama.
Serving as the current Sergeant at Arms, I have coordinated for PDSA to return to Panama this year, and we plan to bring 15 PDSA members! While on our trip to Panama, we will be assisting dental professionals to address the dental needs of the communities that are in extreme need and have no access to health care. Moreover, we plan to host events at local orphanages, where we will teach children about the importance of oral hygiene, as well as provide them with the supplies needed for adequate dental care.
PDSA is an organization of students that are dedicated to creating a positive impact on not only the Central Florida community but also on Central America. From volunteering chairside at Grace Medical Home’s Dental Center to serving the homeless and mentoring children with Boys and Girls Clubs! This winter we are traveling abroad and head to Panama to make a difference to those in need. In order to make this trip possible, we ask for your support. Your contributions will directly be used for lodging, registration, supplies, and travel. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to provide care to those in Panama. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and for your generosity.
On behalf of the executive board and our members, Thank you
Ashlie
