UCF AIAA Rocket League

We are Rocket League, an undergraduate engineering design project sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Central Florida.

Rocket League is one of the fastest growing programs in UCF AIAA. The task: design, build and fly a mid-power rocket out of raw materials using sound engineering practices. Students form small groups and are tasked with creating a rocket to complete engineering goals, while operating on deadlines and with limited resources. We teach participants basic and advanced rocket principles. Students use CAD software, such as Solidworks, to design and simulate their rocket. Then, it’s over to the lab to take their design from the drawing board to the physical world.

Teams compete against each other to test their design ability, and apply skills learned from their coursework in a real-world competitive environment. They must work within design restrictions, and produce the best, highest-flying rocket that they can. The motto of AIAA UCF is “Turning Students into Engineers”, and Rocket League embodies that attitude to the fullest.

In less than one year Rocket League has grown an unprecedented 200%! Popularity is great, but it has one drawback: We can no longer fund the project on our own.

This is where you come in. We need your support in order to continue growing the project and flying higher. All donations go directly to the project, and will be used to purchase materials (rocket parts, motors, etc) and building supplies such as adhesives and sandpaper.

All donations are greatly appreciated, and will directly benefit students who are driven to learn, grow,  and become the best and brightest engineers of their time. With your help, we can charge on into the future.

Thank you, UCF AIAA Rocket League
