Hi, my name is Emily and I will be taking part in the UCDVO programme in June 2025, alongside other student dietitian’s and physios. We will be travelling to The Church of Uganda Kisiizi Hospital. There, we will assisting staff with community and paediatric rehabilitation programmes, which consist of a 2 week intensive therapy programme for children with cerebral palsy, home visits where nutrition and physio support will be provided as well as educational and community outreach initiatives. Funds raised go directly towards the hospitals rehab programme as well as accommodation, transport, food and water during the volunteer programme.
