Friday evening, 10/13, my 15 year old brother ,Zac, attended a concert with friends where he was kicked in the chest with great force which caused one of his lungs to collapse. We were hoping doctors could re-inflate his lung and send him home. They placed a chest tube to drain the air trapped in his chest cavity, but his lung has been unable to re-inflate due to a leak in his lung. Zac is now needing to stay much longer and go through a much larger surgery to repair the lung. My step-mom, Sam, was supposed to start a new job this week, but hasn't left Zac's side. There has been many people asking how they could help and I know this would help greatly, so the family doesn't go through any financial burden. We just want to focus on Zac's recovery without any added stress. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has reached out.
