This year UCD "AgSoc" Society has chosen two worthy charities to fundraise for, CMRF Crumlin St Johns Ward (Children’s Cancer Ward) and Teac Tom.
CMRF Crumlin- Raises vital funds for Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and The National Children’s Research Centre. “At our core is the belief that every sick child deserves a chance. We want little patients to have the best possible outcomes through access to world class research, equipment and treatments when they become ill.”
Teac Tom- The aim of the Thomas Hayes Trust is to provide support to individuals and families/friends who are affected by loss, through suicide, or those considering suicide and to contribute to the prevention of suicide in the community.
Our society fundraising efforts has been severely impacted with the COVID-19 crisis. We appreciate and understand this is a difficult time for everybody however, we can still make a difference for our two worthy charities that are currently working on the front line, supporting many families. We would like to continue our efforts for our draw out of respect for our very generous sponsors who have donated the following prizes:
1st: Ardlea Pedigree Irish Limousin Heifer
2nd & 3rd: Tonne of Roches Feeds Beef/Calf Nuts
Tonne of Aurivo Calf Crunch ATP/Calf Grower ATP
4th: One-night stay for two people with dinner at Mount Wolseley Hotel in Carlow
5th: Herdwatch subscription for 1 year
6th: €150 Eurogene voucher
7th: Calf Jackets.
