Bruno's Eye Surgery

Donation protected
Bruno was born with a few dermoids and they were attached to his outer eye tissue and lower eyelid. This is explained in detail and medical terminology in one of the 3 attachments.  We noticed some extra hairs that seemed to be growing out of the corner of his left eye and had our local veterinary friend look at this.  She instructed us to see a top veterinary ophthalmologist, thankfully we have one of the best in the twin-cities area.  His report and estimate can be seeing in the attached photos.  He said the surgery should be done at 3 - 6 months of age and his appointment is January 12th when Bruno will be almost 6 months old.
The money raised will be used to cover the cost of the surgery and any follow up care and medication needed after the surgery.  Any extra funds will be donated to our local dog rescue facility, Dispatch Dogs in Lonsdale, MN.  www.dispatch-trucking.net/dispatch-dogs
It would be extremely helpful if we had the funds by January 12th for his surgery.
The "Story" this is the part that may get confusing. We will be offering this puppy up for adoption as Randy breeds and works with dogs for his business.  This puppy grew on us and our family so for us to hang onto this puppy for the past 4 plus months was not normal.  We are in the business to raise quality healthy puppies for new hunting homes.  As a business it really did not make sense to keep this puppy around after the diagnosis of dermoid.  Randy said no way cannot do it sorry we must put this puppy down.  No one can afford to buy a puppy and then invest another $3000 for surgery to fix the puppies eye dermoids.   He is a sweet boy and there really was NO WAY Randy would do that, so we tried to find the right family.  Finding someone that could afford to pay for this surgery even after we offered to give the puppy to them if they took care of the surgery was impossible.  A family member became extremely attached to this puppy and wanted him for herself.  She offered to sublease her apartment and move home to pay for his surgery if she could have him.  She serious fell head over heels for him and was willing to go that far but reality is she cannot have a puppy in Boston.  She will graduate in May from Law school and realized her life will never allow for her to have a young dog as she enters a new lifestyle with more than full time job.  He has been a joy to have around and very smart and fun to work and train.
We will be incredibly grateful for any funding we raise for Bruno's surgery.  It will mean a great deal to us if you can help us out.  After his surgery and recovery, we hope to continue with his training and then possibly look into a forever home for him.
