Help us get back on our feet.
In January of 2016, our son, Adam, committed suicide. It was devestating to our family on many levels, and we are still struggling with the economic blow that resulted from his death. Our adult children were still living at home with us and helping to meet our monthly bills. Our daughter, Rebecca, still lives with us, but she was not able to return to her customer service position after Adam's death. She now works part-time, and earns some income from helping edit books and her craft/jewelry business, but that income has not matched what she made previously. I was teaching school, but was not able to continue due to the stress and anxiety. I have a full-time job, now, but that is not meeting our needs. We don't like the idea of asking others for help, but we are getting desparate. We are putting household items together to sell, as well, but I don't expect that to go far. We are in immediate need, as we have been scraping money up where we can to try to keep utilities turned on. Our church, family, and friends have been very helpful, and contributed greatly to paying funeral expenses and some of our shortfall, but it has not been enough to catch us up. We grieve for our son, and brother, every day, and the stress of trying to keep our home and cars is getting to us. We would be eternally greatful for any help you can give us.
