Fall 2020 UC Berkeley Tuition for Fira

I am an international student from Indonesia at UC Berkeley, majoring in Astrophysics. Due to COVID-19, my family has experienced a huge decrease in income and is no longer able to pay for my tuition. Unfortunately, because I am an international student, I am ineligible for a lot of financial aid options that UC Berkeley offers. Therefore, I created this gofundme to cover the cost of my tuition for the Fall 2020 semester at UC Berkeley.
I am a motivated individual who is highly driven to seek excellence and success, be it inside or outside of the classroom. My whole life, I am heavily intrigued by the sciences and inspired by all the innovation and discovery. I chose to major in Astrophysics with the hopes to one day participate in tackling and answering some of our biggest questions about the universe that we live in. I seek to be able to lead my own research project and contribute to the astronomy community.
Here's a list of my awards and activities on campus:
- 4.0 GPA
- Officer of the Undergraduate Astronomy Society (UAS) at UC Berkeley
- Museum Facilitator at UC Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science
- Marketing Board Intern of EXP Dance at UC Berkeley
- Collaborating in a research project to survey and analyze HERON Galaxies with Professor Michael Rich at UCLA
- Orientation Leader for UC Berkeley's Golden Bear Orientation Fall 2020.
I've worked really hard my whole life to be able to be where I am right now. I've come so far to pursue my dreams, and I would be so devastated to have that taken away from me.
