Hi everyone,
We're reaching out with heavy hearts after a tragic house fire turned our world upside down. Our beloved Gram (Carol), 78-year-old widow, and both uncles (Tom and Ted) were inside the home when the fire broke out, along with their pets. Thankfully, they all made it out alive, but Carol (my gram) was rushed to the ER and treated for smoke inhalation, as of this time she is still undergoing treatment in the hospital. Uncle Ted also required medical attention in the ER. We’re beyond grateful they survived—but the road ahead is going to be incredibly difficult.
They’ve lost everything—every single possession—except for the clothes they were wearing. Their home, memories, and sense of security were all taken in a matter of moments. Sadly, some of their beloved pets didn’t make it out, and that heartbreak only adds to the trauma they’re facing.
This loss is not just about material things—it’s about losing the place they called home for years, the space filled with family history, comfort, and love. It’s about having to rebuild their entire lives from the ground up, while still healing emotionally and physically.
Our family is doing everything we can to support them, but the reality is, starting over from nothing is overwhelming. That’s why we’re reaching out to our friends, community, and anyone who might be able to lend a helping hand. Whether it’s a small donation, a share, or simply kind words and prayers—every bit means more than we can express.
The funds raised will go toward immediate needs like clothes, food, housing, and ongoing medical care. In time, we hope it will also help them rebuild a new place to call home. We want nothing more than to see them safe, healthy, and on the path to recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful for any help you can offer—no matter how big or small. Your support gives our family hope.
Update 4/17/2025: We are eternally grateful for the love, prayers, and kindness everyone has shown our family during these trying times. The support of the community has touched our hearts. We are pleased to say Carol is out of the hospital and starting rehab at the Preferred Care at Old Bridge. Any fabric goods have been collected and sent out in hopes to be salvaged. The insurance has helped to set up temporary housing in a hotel. There is a long road ahead of us. The money donated will continue to be used for immediate needs at the moment, including things like clothing, medical necessities and food. This journey is personal and emotional, we cannot express enough how much we appreciate your support.
